    We are happy to welcome on board Rachel Jarvis in a new role called Head of Service Improvement. As part of our investment in the ITIL Continual Service Improvement framework, Rachel’s remit is to focus on proactive – not reactive - improvements and enhancements, garnering feedback from customers to drive our service levels ever upwards.

As part of our investment in the ITIL Continual Service Improvement framework, Rachel’s remit is to focus on proactive – not reactive - improvements and enhancements, garnering feedback from customers to drive our service levels ever upwards.
     

    We have also realigned our delivery functions into two distinct, agile teams: Customer Response and Technical Solutions. The Customer Response team is made up of strong communicators who listen first and foremost, making sure everything is explained and captured, as well targeting a resolution upon first contact in well over 50% of calls.
     

    Our Technical Solutions team are highly focused senior engineers who can spot trends, generate long term fixes and deliver complex project work.

    We are now supporting approx. 4,000 people across approx. 250 organisations. This has allowed us to focus on high quality Project Delivery and Customer Relationship Management via the Head of Project Delivery and Head of IT Service Relationship roles. We have also boosted the Customer Response and Technical Solutions teams and have an active programme to recruit “on demand” Associates to assist with projects and service desk resourcing requirements as demand naturally flexes over the year.

    MedicAlert provide assurance and lifesaving support to thousands of members each year through wearable “jewellery” devices that allow elderly and vulnerable people to call for help when they need it most.

    MedicAlert provide assurance and lifesaving support to thousands of members each year through wearable “jewellery” devices that allow elderly and vulnerable people to call for help when they need it most.  Ethical IT recently migrated their Membership system from a highly complex and challenging database to a new cloud platform, harnessing both amazon Web Services public cloud and Ethical IT’s own private hosting facility.  We are now providing support for approximately 80 staff including an NHS emergency team that responds to calls from medical assistance teams when a member has an issue.

    Ethical IT are now working with Impetus PEF to completely overhaul their IT systems, including the removal of their old servers which were a single point of failure and replacing them with a new platform that uses less physical hardware, draws less power and has a smaller carbon footprint whilst also being more powerful and resilient.
    We have now migrated their desktops to Windows 10 across the board, and have radically improved Remote Access, replacing the old VPN method with a state of the art Terminal Server solution, giving staff the flexibility to work anywhere, anytime.

    Impetus PEF works to transform the lives of 11-24 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they get the support they need to achieve their potential – linking them up UK charities and social enterprises that have a successful track record of helping young people gain an education and hold a job.

    After July 14th 2015, Microsoft will no longer issue security updates for any version of Windows 2003 Server.     AgeUK have now gone live on the EIT Private Cloud platform to provide them with a secure trading gateway, incorporating best security practices from PCI DSS v3 and ISO27001 and utilising the latest low energy Thin Clients and server virtualisation
    The rollout program is now over 50% complete out of a total of 162 sites nationwide, and includes a private secure MPLS Data Network from partners Class Telecom and a hugely flexible VOIP telephony system across all sites.     Class Telecom is working with Ethical IT to provide cloud-based solutions to organisations with a mandate for social change - organisations such as Family Action, a leading provider of services to disadvantaged and socially isolated families since 1869.
    Class Telecom is working with Ethical IT to provide cloud-based solutions to organisations with a mandate for social change - organisations such as Family Action, a leading provider of services to disadvantaged and socially isolated families since 1869.
     
    Ethical IT and Class Telecom won a tender process to migrate the whole of Family Action’s network from their old Windows Server 2003 system, incumbent IT provider and ISP, to Ethical’s Data Centre (the ‘Ethical Cloud’) whilst also updating all their systems and moving to a new Internet Service Provider.

    Age UK Enterprises (the Social Change organisation that raises money which goes back into the Age UK charity) has awarded Ethical IT a contract to deliver a secure, environmentally friendly Thin Client network.
    Age UK Enterprises (the Social Change organisation that raises money which goes back into the Age UK charity) has awarded Ethical IT a contract to deliver a secure, environmentally friendly Thin Client network.  This network includes over 170 sites nationwide, for over 450 staff to use to securely transact and operate within a PCI Compliant system.

    At the heart of the new system is the hosting setup, running within Ethical IT’s Ethical Cloud data centre.  Sites are interconnected via a highly secure and resilient MPLS private cloud network and incorporate an advanced Contact Centre VOIP Telephony System. The project is being rolled out over the summer of 2014 with target completion by the end of the year

    Our sister company, The Ethical Property Foundation, with support from the Charity Commission, has carried out the largest survey of its kind looking at the major property issues charities are facing, with a view to identifying solutions and affecting change.
    Key findings include the fact that 40% of charities consider that their building is the greatest risk facing their organisation, 52% of charities having experienced difficulties in obtaining core funding for premises costs and 20% of charities fail to deliver services due to property constraints.
